16 September 1958 Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles in extremely substandard circumstances. Her father was a vehicle salesman, while her mother was a teacher. Jennifer was the second child in her family and she frequently accompanied her mother who worked as a schoolteacher and a theater teacher, to performances. Jennifer found her performance impressive. After Jennifer was five years old she divorced her parents. Jennifer was a part of her childhood living in British Columbia, after her mother relocated there with their four children. Jennifer was, despite having been quite an artistic child, was not a very knowledgeable person. Because of her experience in the public schools of Canada, Jennifer came under the sway of a lot of bullying. Her interest began to wane at the theatre during her time in high school. The mother of her child encouraged her to play additional roles in different performances. Her children all were motivated by their mothers to explore a passion for art. She then began to take action.
